Malakoff Humanis renews its partnership with the FFSA and commits to more inclusive Paralympic Games.

Great news for Adaptive Sports: Malakoff Humanis has just announced the renewal of its partnership with the French Federation of Adaptive Sports (FFSA) for another four years, supporting numerous FFSA projects as well as 14 high-level Adaptive Sports athletes. This strong commitment confirms a clear desire to support athletes with mental or psychological disabilities or autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and to campaign for their full recognition on the international Paralympic scene.

With this partnership, the Malakoff Humanis Adaptive Sports Team is growing: from eight athletes, the team now has 14 high-level athletes, including seven new talents. For the first time, para alpine and Nordic adaptive skiers are joining the team, a sign of broader ambitions ahead of the 2030 Winter Paralympics in the French Alps. Malakoff Humanis is the only French company to support a team composed solely of athletes in adapted sports, including para athletics, para swimming, para table tennis, and adapted para alpine and Nordic skiing, with three types of disabilities – II1: intellectual disabilities – II2: intellectual disabilities with an additional disability such as Down syndrome – II3: athletes with autism spectrum disorders.

The goal is twofold: to pave the way for the 2028 Summer Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, while also paving the way for a historic first at the 2030 Winter Games. The message is clear: Adapted Sports disciplines exist, the athletes are there, and it is time to give them their rightful place at the highest level.

“We want to maintain the momentum of Paris 2024, support athletes who receive less media coverage, campaign for the inclusion of athletes with intellectual or psychological disabilities, and continue to advocate for Adapted Sports to be officially included in the 2030 Winter Games”
Pascal Andrieux
CEO of the Malakoff Humanis Handicap Foundation

This commitment is directly in line with the momentum of the Inclusive 2030 Games forum, which has already been signed by more than 1,000 prominent figures. Together, federations, institutions, companies, and citizens want to make the 2030 Paralympic Games a truly historic event: the first to officially reintroduce Adapted Sports events to the Winter Paralympic Games.
